Creating a behavior library
Behaviors are essentially tags corresponding to key attitudes and values that are recognized within your company. The beqom application enables you to create behavior libraries and gather in a single collection behaviors that relate to a single area. Multiple behavior libraries can be created in the system to fit the various needs of your organization.
Step 1 - Library details
To create a behavior library, proceed as follows:
Click Create library in the upper-right corner of the Behaviors page. The behavior library creation form is opened at the first step, Library details.
Fill in the basic details of the behavior library:
Enter a name of the new library in the Library name field.
Enter a description for the library in the Library description field. We recommend that you state in this field the purpose of the library to avoid any confusion if you're using several libraries in your system.
If required, select additional owners in the Add library owners field, by typing their name in the search field and then clicking the name of the relevant person in the search results. If you don't add additional owners, you will be the only person who can manage the library.
If your company uses several languages in the system, change the language in the Translations drop-down list, and then repeat step 2 of this procedure to enter values for the other language.
Click Next in the progress widget to move to the next step of the behavior library creation process: Behaviors.
Step 2 - Behaviors
Now that you have entered the basic information for the new library, you can start populating it with behaviors. To add behaviors to the library, proceed as follows:
Make sure you are at step 2, Behaviors, of the form for the library to which you want to add behaviors. If that's not the case, click Next to open step 2.
Define the parameters of the behavior:
Enter the name of the behavior in the Name field. We recommend that you give each behavior a descriptive name, so that the workers in your company understand immediately the intent and purpose of the behavior.
Enter a description in the Description field. You can use this field to give details about the reasons why your company values this behavior.
Pick a color for the behavior among the available palette. The color will help users distinguish the various behaviors in their Passport, in the behavior widgets, in feedback, etc.
Change the state of the Enable behavior toggle to enabled.
Click Add behavior and repeat steps 3 and 4 of this procedure to add more behaviors to the library.
If your company uses several languages in the system, change the language in the Translations drop-down list, and then repeat step 3 of this procedure to enter values for the other language.
Click Next in the progress widget to move to the next step of the behavior library creation process: Assignment.
Step 3 - Assignment
After having added behaviors to the library, you can assign the library to one or several organizational units within your company. To assign the behavior library, proceed as follows:
Make sure you are at step 3, Assignment, of the library form. If that's not the case, click Next until you are at step 3.
In the search field, type the name of the organizational unit to which you want to assign the behaviors.
In the search results, select the relevant organizational unit by clicking its name. The organizational unit is added to the list of the organizational units to which the form is assigned. Notice that the message box indicating the number of workers to whom the library is assigned is incremented every time you select a new organizational unit.
Repeat steps 2-3 for all the organizational units to which you want to assign the library.
Click Publish in the progress widget, a confirmation message is displayed.
Click Yes in the pop-up window. The behavior library is now ready to be used in the application.
