Understanding goal statuses and approval process
To better understand the different goal statuses and approval processes, refer to the following table:
| Status | Definition |
|---|---|
| Created, Pending Approval | When a goal is created, it is automatically sent for approval to the manager whom can approve the goal or send it back with an optional comment. If the goal has been created by a manager or a HR admin, the goal status is automatically moved to "In Progress". |
| In Progress | The goal deliverables, measurement criteria and progress bar can now be edited. |
| Completed, Pending Approval | When the goal is marked as done, the manager can approve the goal and mark it as "Completed" or send it back with an optional comment. |
| Completed | The goal is completed, workers or managers cannot update the goal details anymore. If the goal is reopened, its status will move back to "In Progress". |
