Creating payout curves
Payout curves are a key driver for bonus plans configuration and subsequent calculations in bonus compensation rounds.
You may search and filter the list of the payout curves by using the search bars and drop-down windows at the top of the list.
Step 1 - Payout curve details
To create a payout curve, proceed as follows:
Click Create payout curve in the upper-right corner of the Payout curves page. The payout curve creation form is opened at the first step, Payout curve details.
Fill in the basic details of the payout curve:
Enter a name of the new payout curve in the Name field.
Enter a unique code in the Code field.
Enter a description for the payout curve in the Description field.
Click Next in the progress widget to move to the next step of the payout curve creation process: Payout curve settings.
Step 2 - Payout curve settings
To complete this step, proceed as follows:
In the Curve type section, select curve type to apply to this payout curve:
Linear curve - a linear curve represents a payout that changes at a constant rate over time or across performance levels.
Step curve - a step curve changes payout in fixed "jumps" at specified intervals rather than gradually.
In the Direction, specify the direction of the curve:
Growing - increasing payout over time/levels.
Falling - decreasing payout over time/levels.
In the Result, define the units that will be used for results in this curve by selecting them from the drop-down list.
In the Rules & guidelines, you may read the general rules that relate to the options you chose in the previous sections.
In the Thresholds section, define performance milestones and their corresponding payout levels.
After filling out all our conditions and meeting the criteria, your Chart preview will be displayed in the last window.
Click Publish in the progress widget, at the right side of the form, to publish your payout curve and finish the creation process.
