Discussing and challenging a review
As a worker, if you are not content with the review given to you by your manager, you will be able to either request a follow-up conversation with them or challenge their review with the line manager above their manager reviewer (LM+1).
Before signing off on your performance review, you'll need to confirm that a performance coaching conversation with your manager has occurred. This action will activate three options, as illustrated in the following picture:
Review sign off
Depending on your satisfaction with the review's outcome, you have a few options:
Challenge review clicking on this button will prompt you to add comments and attachments that you deem important to share before final submission. To finalize, click the Submit button in the top right corner. Your input will be sent to your manager's direct superior (LM+1), who can then view your comments and the entire review. If you change your mind, click Cancel.
I want to discuss further: selecting this option will also ask you to add comments and attachments before final submission. Click the Submit button in the top right corner to finalize. Your input will be sent directly to your manager, allowing them to amend their ratings and comments. Once they republish the review, you'll have another opportunity to accept or challenge their final submission. If you want to choose a different option, click Cancel.
Accept: this option allows you to sign off on the review, closing the entire process.
These options ensure your feedback is heard and allow you to pursue an outcome that's satisfactory for you.
