Notes feature in Compensation
A new Notes feature has been added to the Compensation module to improve collaboration and provide detailed documentation during compensation reviews.
Worker-level notes are enabled by default for all employees. They allow compensation managers and HRBPs to record observations or special considerations related to individual employees, as illustrated in the following image:
Worker-level notes
Notes for compensation elements allows users to also enable and configure notes for specific compensation elements, such as salaries or bonuses. There are two configuration options:
Required if outside of guidelines: If a compensation proposal exceeds the defined guidelines, the system prompts the user to provide a note to justify the decision.
Always required: The system enforces a note entry no matter whether the amount is within or outside the guidelines.
Both options are available in the Column configuration, as presented in the following picture:

This feature enhances accountability during compensation reviews by facilitating structured communication between compensation managers and HRBPs. It ensures all exceptions and key decisions are supported by documented rationale, which simplifies the audit process.

Budget widget enablement in Planner
A new configuration option allows compensation administrators to control the visibility of the budget widget in the planner view.
This setting is located under the Feature Enablement tab within the Team Planner Views section when editing a compensation round. Administrators can choose to either enable or disable the budget widget, as illustrated in the following picture:

Enable: The budget widget is displayed at the top of the page for compensation managers during planning.
Disable: The budget widget is completely hidden from view in the planner interface.
This new feature provides administrators with greater flexibility to configure planner layouts based on organizational needs. It also helps to reduce visual clutter for users who do not need to see the budget information.

Guaranteed pay rules
A new feature now supports compliance with legally required pay entitlements by enabling Guaranteed pay rules within compensation rounds.
This feature gives compensation managers and HRBPs clear visibility into minimum pay amounts that are legally or contractually required for certain employees.
Enable guaranteed amount section: This is activated for specific compensation elements in the "Team Planner View" step of the compensation round setup, as illustrated in the following picture:

Define guaranteed pay rules: Rules are defined in a new "Guaranteed amounts" step. User can set up rules based on employee conditions, such as contracted pay history or custom exceptions with fixed guaranteed values, as shown in the following illustration:

Planner grid behavior: A dedicated "Guaranteed amount" column will appear in the planner grid, as illustrated in the following picture:

This column is read-only and provides informational-only data.
This new feature helps align with local labor laws and company policies, which reduces the risk of non-compliance by highlighting guaranteed pay obligations during compensation planning. It also supports consistency and transparency in compensation decision-making.

Compensation round statement generation enhancement in Data Foundation
A new enhancement to the Statement Generation feature in compensation rounds gives administrators more flexibility and control over file naming and rule management.
This feature is available for Configuration, Compensation Admin and Global Compensation Admin professional roles
Custom File Naming
Users can now create dynamic and personalized file names for employee statements by combining field variables and free text.
Field Dropdown: Choose from a list of available fields from the compensation round (e.g., WorkerFirstName, WorkerLastName, etc.).
Text Dropdown: Add custom text (e.g., year, document type).
Expression Builder: Use a visual interface to build the file name structure.
Expression Formula Preview: See a preview of the generated format before you apply it (e.g., "John-Doe-2024").
File name section
The total file name is capped at 256 characters. This enhancement helps create clear and organized statement files.
Rule Management
Users can now more easily manage statement generation rules with two new options:
Delete Statement Generation Rules: Users can delete a Statement Generation Rule that is in "Draft" status. Use the contextual menu (⋮) to find the delete option.
Duplicate Statement Generation Rules: Quickly replicate a rule by using the new Duplicate action to create a copy of an existing rule, saving time when setting up similar rules.
These enhancements make statement generation more flexible, intuitive, and efficient for administrators.
