beqomPay Suite 21.0 - Feature release notes
This article details the latest improvements introduced in version 21.0 of the beqomPay Suite application, their benefits for our end-users, and their principles of use.
Compensation
Advanced calculations
The advanced calculations capability brings formula-based calculated columns to the compensation planner, enabling administrators to define dynamic calculations directly within compensation rounds. Users can now create calculated columns using a new expression builder, accessible from the Calculated column drawer in the Team planner view step of compensation round configuration wizard.
The expression builder offers a plain-text formula input, auto-suggestions, real-time validation to help users correct errors incrementally, and a helpful tooltip with descriptions and examples. Calculated columns support both Decimal and String types, as well as conditional (IF / THEN / ELSE) and non-conditional formulas. Formulas can reference three data sources: the Data model, Round inputs, such as proposals and custom fields, and Round calculations including calculated fields and calculations from other round configuration steps.
Additionally, a wide range of fields is now available for use in formulas: calculations based on other calculated fields, custom fields, eligibility (eligible flag and rule name), budget (output and rule name), guidelines (values, flags, and rule name), guaranteed amount (output and rule name), and conditional formatting (rule name).

Separate salary and bonus compensation rounds
Independent compensation round types can now be configured in the compensation round configuration wizard. Previously, the system included salary rounds automatically during the creation of a bonus round. Starting with version 21.0 of beqom Pay Suite, administrators can choose to set up a Salary round only, a Bonus round only, or a combined Salary + Bonus round in the Round details step of the wizard. The workflow adapts accordingly: selecting Salary only will exclude the Bonus calculation step, while selecting Bonus will make the Bonus formula calculation step available. The selected round type is also visible in the compensation round list (under Workbench > Compensation Management > Compensation Rounds) for clear reference.
These enhancements help organizations run bonus cycles independently from salary reviews, simplify workflows for single-purpose rounds, and configure compensation processes more flexibly.

Performance Management
PDF generation by HR Admins
The 21.0 release of the Pay Suite application offers HR admins the ability to generate and later print a PDF of any worker's performance review directly from Workbench. This capability provides consistent access to documentation for reporting, audits, or internal use. As a result, organizations can streamline compliance workflows, respond more quickly to audit requests, and maintain a complete paper trail without relying on manual exports or separate systems.
It is now possible to generate PDF performance reviews in two ways: while viewing the review and using the three-dot action icon in the Manage reviews list.
HRÂ admins can access the feature via Workbench > Performance Management > Performance Review Template > <three-dot icon next to the relevant review> > Manage in the drop-down menu.
Then, in the Manage reviews tab, Admins will see another review list with an eye (view) icon and a three-dot icon.
The eye icon opens the review in read-only mode, with a newGenerate PDF button, as illustrated in the following figure:

Alternatively, HR Admins can generate performance review PDFs by clicking the three-dot icon next to the eye icon in the Manage reviews tab, and then clicking Generate PDF in the action menu, as illustrated in the figure below:

The Generate PDF option is available regardless of the status of the review (in progress, submitted, or closed).
The resulting PDF mirrors the content seen by the HR Admin in the interface, ensuring the document accurately reflects what is displayed on the screen. Any unsubmitted draft inputs from the manager are excluded, so the PDF performance review only contains finalized, reliable information.
Pay Intelligence
New Achievement Summary report page
With version 21.0, we are introducing an addition to the Analytics Hub. Following the recently released Performance Management functionality for calculating total goal achievement scores, users can now explore the data behind it in the Analytics Hub Review report, where we have included a new page called Achievement Summary, under the Performance Review report.
The total score determined as part of the achievement summary calculation will now appear in both Review Details and Review Details & Additional Questions report pages. In each of the pages, we have added a new Achievement Total Score column to the Reviews detailed export table after the Final Rating field.
Users can access the Achievement Summary feature by navigating to the Analytics Hub and Performance Reviews. From there, they can head to the Achievement Summary report page, where a dashboard will be displayed after loading.
Achievement Summary dashboard
The dashboard offers key KPI visuals with the total number of reviews and the associated Average Total Score. A set of quick filters is available to easily narrow down results by Review name, Worker name, and Evaluation Section name.
In addition, the Achievement Summary provides a high-level overview of Average Total Score results, including a bar chart structured by organizational units, an organizational-level table hierarchy breakdown, and a detailed employee list featuring Total Score and Max Score. Users can then dive deeper into individual evaluation sections, with a bar chart highlighting sections scoring zero for monitoring completion or anomalies, an organizational-level table with the average score breakdown for every section, and a detailed employee list with scores per evaluation section.
We have also added two filters specific to this page: Evaluation Section and Total Score. They can be found in the right filter panel.
Data Foundation
Snapshot Manager access and data security improvement
Version 21.0 of the Pay Suite application improves Snapshot Manager access and data security for better alignment with role responsibilities and users' expectations toward data access. This ensures that snapshot data is available only to appropriate roles and that exported data always respects access permissions.
Only roles that require technical or administrative control can now access the Snapshot Manager:
The PayAnalytics Editor and Compensation Manager roles no longer have access to the Snapshot Manager, as these roles should use planner-based and workflow-driven features instead.
The Global Compensation Admin, Pay Analytics Admin, Data Modeler Admin and Configuration roles retain full Snapshot Manageraccess, including the ability to view, create, and export snapshots.
The Data Foundation Admin role now has limited access, allowing users to create snapshots and export snapshot data without broader snapshot management or administrative capabilities.
Moreover, snapshot CSV exports now respect data access permissions. Exported files will only include employees that the user is authorized to see based on their role and access permissions. This applies to all roles that can export snapshot data. If a user's access is restricted, for example by country or organizational scope, the CSV export may contain a subset of the snapshot population, and a warning message will be displayed to indicate this limitation.

Thanks to these changes, worker data can be handled in a consistent and secure way while maintaining the existing snapshot functionality.
