beqomPay Suite 21.1 - Feature release notes
This article details the latest improvements introduced in version 21.1 of the beqomPay Suite application, their benefits for our end-users, and their principles of use.
Compensation Management
New calculation workspace
With version 21.1 of Pay Suite, we have redesigned the workspace for advanced calculations. A new wider, dedicated environment now facilitates creating and editing calculated columns within compensation rounds. Replacing the previous drawer-based interface, the full-width Calculation workspace provides significantly more space for formula building, for a more pleasant use experience and added efficiency.

For added clarity, advanced calculation functions are now organized by category, such as Aggregation, Conditional, DateTime, Math, and String. Additionally, the list of functions has been expanded to support a broader range of use cases.
Expandable and collapsible sections help maximize the available working area, while searchable Functions and Properties panels allow users to locate what they need quickly. Operators include built-in tooltips, descriptions, and examples, providing guidance directly in the editor.

The new workspace improves the management of both non-conditional and conditional formulas to make logic easier to construct.
Once editing is complete, users can seamlessly return to the Calculated column configuration, maintaining a smooth and uninterrupted workflow.
Together, these enhancements bring better visibility, intuitive navigation, and clearer structure to the formula creation process. This, in turn, simplifies complex operations and increases productivity for compensation administrators who work with advanced calculations.

Planner export to Excel
Starting with 21.1 release of Pay Suite, users can export Planner compensation round data directly into a password-protected Excel file. This capability enables review and data manipulation outside of the platform.
The export is accessible from the action menu in Planner > Compensation > Comp review.
Export to Excel action in the Planner
The application now offers two export options:
The current page, with all visible columns and data as displayed in the Planner, for example, the 25 workers that the user can see on the screen.
All pages, with all workers available to the user in the compensation round under access permissions.
Active filters are applied to the export, which means that users can extract targeted datasets. The resulting file contains only the details that are relevant to the user's selection.
To protect sensitive compensation information, a password is required for the export. This ensures that data remains secure even when accessed outside the platform.
Password setting before the file export
The Excel export feature provides flexibility for offline analysis in a familiar format, while the mandatory password protection and permission-based scoping ensure that security and compliance standards are maintained throughout.

Data Foundation
Snapshot Manager access and data security improvement
Version 21.1 of the Pay Suite application improves Snapshot Manager access and data security for better alignment with role responsibilities and users' expectations toward data access. This ensures that snapshot data is available only to appropriate roles and that exported data always respects access permissions.
Only roles that require technical or administrative control can now access the Snapshot Manager:
The PayAnalytics Editor and Compensation Manager roles no longer have access to the Snapshot Manager, as these roles should use planner-based and workflow-driven features instead.
The Global Compensation Admin, Pay Analytics Admin, Data Modeler Admin, and Configuration roles retain full Snapshot Manager access, including the ability to view, create, and export snapshots.
The Data Foundation Admin role now has limited access, allowing users to create snapshots and export snapshot data without broader snapshot management or administrative capabilities.
Moreover, snapshot CSV exports now respect data access permissions. Exported files will only include workers that the user is authorized to see based on their role and access permissions. This applies to all roles that can export snapshot data. If a user's access is restricted, for example by country or organizational scope, the CSV export may contain a subset of the snapshot population, and a warning message will be displayed to indicate this limitation.

Thanks to these changes, worker data can be handled in a consistent and secure way while maintaining the existing snapshot functionality.
