Working with the Goal Management page
The Goal Management page is a powerful interface that gives administrators a holistic, top-down view of all goals within the organization.
Page overview
The overview of the Goal Management page is shown in the following picture:
Goal Management page
At the top of the page, you will find summary tiles for:
Goal plans: Total number of goal plans in the system
Goal types: Total number of goal types
Goals: Total number of goals managed
The page also includes robust filtering options to quickly narrow down any search:
Search: Find goals by entering a goal's name
Goal Plan / Goal Type: Filter by goal plan or type using drop-down lists
Goal Status: Show only Published or Draft goals
Result: View goals with or without updated results
Workers: Click to select and view goals by specific workers (searchable by name or ID)
Goals are displayed in a detailed, paginated table. Each row represents one goal, with the following columns: Goal name, Assign to, Goal plan, Goal type, Weight, Minimum, Maximum, Target, Result, and the one with the three-dot icon.
Population-level goals (assigned to a Population) are pinned to the top of the table. Goals assigned to individual workers are listed below, each showing the worker's name and avatar in the Assign to column.
The Weight and Result columns support inline editing. Click a value directly to update it without opening the full goal form. When different workers within a population have different weights, the Weight column displays Multiple weights instead of a single figure. Similarly, when a goal has more than one measurement criterion, the Minimum, Maximum, and Target columns show Multiple criteria.
Click the three-dot icon at the end of any row to access the full set of actions available for that goal (Edit or View).
All changes made to goals are logged, providing a clear audit trail and supporting transparency across the organization.
Creating goals
To create a new goal:
Click the Create goal button in the upper-right corner of the Goal Management page.
A drawer slides in from the right. Select the Goal target using radio buttons: Myself, My organization, or Other colleagues.
For My organization, you need to define the Goal owner as well. To do so, type their name in the search bar and select the relevant owner.
For Other colleagues, a new search bar appears asking Who do you want to create this goal for? There, enter a name or organizational unit to find the right people and select them. In the search bar, you can also click the Add my direct reports option.
Choose the Goal plan from the drop-down list.
Click the Goal type radio button that applies.
Click Next to continue.
The full goal creation form opens, as illustrated below:
Example of the goal creation form
The right side of the form includes the Participants card with the Creator and Owner. In addition, you can use the Goal Genius AI assistant panel. Click Let's start, describe the topic of your goal and its target delivery date, click Let's create, and Goal Genius will generate suggested content for you to review and apply. Using the settings icon in the top-right corner of the panel, you can enable sharing a role, job title, or organizational unit.
The left side of the form contains the following collapsible sections:
Basic information (required, expanded by default). It displays the read-only Goal plan and Goal type. Complete the following fields:
Name of the goal
Description of the goal in the text editor with a formatting toolbar
Priority, where you can choose High, Medium, or Low from the drop-down list
Due date, a date-picker drop-down, auto-populated with the goal plan's end date when one is configured. You can still change the date manually.
Goal weight, which accepts values between 0 and 100
Measurement criteria (required if marked as mandatory during goal type configuration, in which case it expands automatically). There, you can define how you will measure success. For each criterion card, configure:
Description
Unit using the drop-down list (Financial, Percentage, Numeric, or Binary)
Starting value
Target value
Currency from the drop-down list (for financial units)
Due date using the date-picker drop-down or typing the date directly in the field
Click the trash icon to remove a criterion, or click Add measurement criterion to add another.
Deliverables (expands automatically if mandatory for the goal type). In this section, you specify tangible outcomes for your goal. In each deliverable card, fill in:
Description
Due date using the date-picker drop-down or typing the date directly in the field
Click the trash icon to remove a deliverable, or click Add deliverable to add another.
Progress tracking. It includes three radio buttons that let you choose how goal progress is measured: Manually, Automatically using a deliverable, or Automatically using the average of measurement criteria.
Visibility, with two radio buttons to control who can see the goal: Private or Share. With Share selected, type the name of a worker or organizational unit in the Make the goal visible to search bar to find the relevant people. The search bar also allows you to choose the Add my direct reports option.
Goal alignment. This section helps you identify which goals align with the created goal. In the Align with a goal search bar, type a goal's name or use the drop-down list to select the applicable goal.
Click Save & exit in the upper-right corner of the page to save your changes and finish your creation later on. If your goal is ready, click Publish.
