Core concepts regarding the management of goal-related business objects
Goals and all of the notions associated with goals, such as goal types or goal plans, are a concept of the performance management domain of the beqomPay Suite application. They enable managers and workers to set job-related milestones over a defined period of time, for individual workers or entire teams. Those milestones, complete with deliverables and success criteria, can then be used to measure a worker or a team's performance against expectations and adjust performance ratings, which in turn will impact compensation.
There are three goal-related objects that can be created within the system to enable workers and managers to use goals in Passport and Planner:
Goal type: a goal template that will be used to create specific goals
Goal plan: a common domain of application for several goals
Goal tag library: a collection of key words that workers and managers can use to refine the definition of their goals
Out of these three business objects, only goal type and goal plan are mandatory; workers and managers will be able to use goals without goal tags.
